Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was on the 2nd floor and sometimes we walked, sometimes used the lift. It was very modern looking inside but you could also open the window if you felt like fresh air. The bed was very firm but we were always so tired that we slept like rocks. Location is perfect!! Right in city centre, Colonna Suite was just a few minutes' walk to all of the major Rome attractions. There were plenty of fantastic restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

Dark and dingy room

The hotel had a great location right in the centre with easy access to all the sights. The entrance to the hotel however was dirty and the double room on the first floor was not as advertised. The room was dark with a round bed and the mood lighting made it feel like a brothel. We did enquire about another room but told it was fully booked. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly but wouldn’t stay here again.

Small boutique hotel. Small breakfast area but staff are friendly, willing to help & most importantly great location. Everything is walkable. Our room and bathroom was not that big but was satisfactory for 2 people. Reception kindly provided a breakfast box due to early flight on way home

Not properly maintained Annex building

I stayed here with my wife last year in 2023. She wrote a review regarding the AC not working upon arrival amongst other things. The management replied back to the review stating Colonna De Corso is not where we stayed and they do not use WhatsApp to communicate. That is a complete 100% lie. We stayed in the Annex building, but we booked through Colonna Del Corso, so they must manage the property somehow. My wife uploaded the screenshots of the conversation with the staff and sent pics of the A/C filter via the WhatsApp as well. The pics were removed from her review. They could have at least just taken ownership and apologized, and that would’ve been better than just blatantly lying on here. If you see an unpleasant review of this place (or for the Annex building), believe it.

Not worth the money/not properly maintained A/C

My husband and I stayed for a couple nights in to visit Rome. We came at the end of August so it was not scorching hot outside but it was not cool outside. We arrived at night and the room was hot and stuffy arrival, so we took cold showers and slept terrible the first night bc the A/C wasn’t working well. It was too late to get ahold of anyone. I messaged the staff the next day. We were given instructions how to work the remote for the AC via WhatsApp and we followed the instructions over and over and confirmed with them that we have followed the exact instructions and it still was not blowing cold air in the room. We left for the day bc we had a tour and thought maybe it will cool down while we are gone. Well, we came back and it was still hot. I messaged them again to let them know that the room was still hot and asked if we could stay somewhere else bc we would n it be able to sleep at night. They stated they checked the A/C right before we arrived and it was working fine and did not have another room. They said they had guest right before us. My husband being desperate to sleep at night, took the cover of the A/C off to see what was going on and we found the filter completely blocked with dirt and dust. We cleaned it off and put it back, lo and behold, it started blowing cooler air. Therefore, that tells me that no one checked the AC unit and filter before we arrived to ensure it was working and it is not properly maintained which it should be if you station bf the room has A/C. We had to fix the A C unit ourselves. I’m sorry, but that is not acceptable in any way. I informed them what we had found and sent pictures to show them. They sent someone out the next day to look at it, but my husband already fixed the issue otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to sleep at night or would’ve had to come back to a hot room. I have the screenshots of the filter that I sent the staff to show them. I will upload the pics. The blower dryer easily falls off the holder and one time when it fell off right after being used, it burned my husband’s stomach. He now has a scar from it. Anyway, the hotel never even offered any refund or discount for the first terrible hot night we had to sleep through. I would be offering whatever I could to make up for the fact, but nope. And no real urgency to come and try to fix the issue when I initially informed them. And so for that, I give this place a 1 star rating. Sorry.
